Tuition & Fees

Tuition is based on lessons received for an entire school year and not on the number of classes received each month. This is standard private school policy. There are 10 installments, in addition to the annual registration fee. Payments begin in August, with the first installment for Sept. and continue through June of the following year. Please make out your check to MAD. We do not send out statements. There is a $20 penalty for payments made after the 3rd day. Remember that if your child misses a class, he/she has many opportunities within the week to make up that class. Please check with your child’s teacher for the appropriate day and time.

Tuition each month remains the same regardless of the number of lessons and/or weeks in a month, regardless of holidays and the student’s attendance, and regardless of extended travel by the student.

Scholarships: Scholarships have been awarded for the 2019-2020 Fiscal year. A limited number of Merit scholarships are available each term to students who have demonstrated professional potential at MAD Dance. A limited amount of Financial assistance is also available for students whose financial circumstances would limit their exposure to classical ballet and other dance forms. Students awarded scholarships or financial assistance must attend all classes assigned to their level. If an absence is unavoidable (i.e. illness, family emergency, etc.), students will need to notify MAD Dance as soon as possible to excuse their absence. Additionally, students should participate in all workshops, programs, summer intensives, educational presentations, competitions and festivals on behalf of the academy when necessary. They will adhere strictly to MAD Dance’s policies, will still pay any required registration fees and/or deposits on or before the first day of class, and will always strive to exemplify high moral character, a strong work ethic and excellence in performance. For merit scholarship and financial assistance consideration, applicants must meet the following deadlines and requirements:

Merit Scholarships:

  • Recommendation by artistic staff with final approval from the MAD Dance Artistic Director.
  • An audition may be required
  • A one-page essay on why dance is important to you
